Ok, i had a lil scare before signing in.. was led to a page which read 'Claim your blog' on the top and i was like say whattttttttttttttttttt? Heh, thought game over, the internet took over the blog, as it's gonna do the world, what with all you people out there hooked onto your internet naansense :) the damn net took over the exciting and authentic way of communicating.. I used to love decorating my letters with stickers and different coloured pens, and receiving a letter from a friend used to be the most exciting event of the day.. sigh, remember the days of pen-pals.. now, what do we have.. BORING EMAIL. the most i can do is change the font and colour.. BORING *yawn* and then like regular TV isnt good enough.. the internet had to surpass that world, and not only give you what you might've missed but spoil the fun and provide you with the whole season. Sigh, no more thrilling suspense, where you had to survive a day or even week before you get to the next episode.. no more rushing back home to catch the episode which you've dreamt about all day.. nada, zilch. nows its just click and view. not even on a big screen.. screen on screen action. BORING and no more good ol' diaries, which will suddenly resurface when you're dead. and your grandchild can read it and get all emo. it's now all done on public property and any samy, ali and ah tan (get with the crowd ya'll) has access to our thoughts! BORING. But well, we can close one eye for the blogging bit, yeah :) and now, poor MTV's market has been spoiled by youtube, where even the uncool can be updated with the latest music videos and not to mention, get some 5 secs of fame, by posting some nasty stuff they try to pass off as 'art'. Even becoming a star is easy online. BORINGSo yeah, the internet age had caught up and many have fallen victim to this dreadful monster. Some without a choice, and others very readily submit themselves to it. I'm a fan of most things authentic.. i still very much rather watch TV, and catch TV series and big screen movies that i may have missed on DVD and stuff.. rather than download the movie/series and stay cooped up in my room watching it all day and night. Thats just me i guess.. I, unfortunately, have succumbed to other joys the net has to offer, which im sure will only lead to my detriment if its mentioned here. And no, i dont do porn, in case you were wondering. *blink blink* everything's done online now.. search for and apply for jobs online, book your holiday online, shop online, date online, blah blah. Soon laptops are gonna be attached to our hips and we're just gonna sit in one place and everything's gonna happen online. we're gonna become like tamagotchis :( 'cept we're feeding ourselves.. ONLINE. infact i think it'd be more appropriate then to say that we're attached to the laptop's hip rather than they on ours, and they control our movement instead. *shudders*
Yeah, a lil far fetched i know.. but i dread the changes that're coming our way. I already can't seem to handle the basic few.. Oh well, if you cant beat em' join 'em right? Except i think i'm gonna remain an ulu mamulu for as long as i possibly can =)
Ok, i'm tired after my nonsensical blabbering. I actually wanted to just post a website that EVERYONE should check out (if you havent already, i'm a lil slow with these things. i usually find out last, heh). but then i came online, and i had the claim your blog thing and then yeahhh.. i had to vent, and you had to read all that gibberish.. :) SO your reward for staying thus far is this amazing video.
